EIC was established and is managed by Richard Eiberg (LLB), one of the most sought after immigration specialists in South Africa. Richard has over 27 years’ experience in the South African Immigration environment, 25 years of which was performed within the National Immigration Branch of The Department of Home Affairs. Richard is also legally qualified, having a Bachelor of Laws Degree(LLB), majoring in International Law, Constitutional Law, Human Rights Law, and Administrative Law.

During his time with The Department of Home Affairs, Richard progressed to the senior management level within the Immigration Branch. Richard was appointed as an Assistant Director of Immigration Services, and prior to his leaving the Department to establish EIC, was appointed as the Acting Deputy Director: Immigration Services. As a manager within the Immigration Component of Home Affairs, Richard was actively involved in numerous management forums, including the quarterly National Immigration Branch meetings chaired by the Deputy Director General for Immigration Services of the Department Home Affairs – a position that granted him a unique understanding of the strategic objections of the Immigration Branch, knowledge that today can be applied to the utmost benefit of his clients. It is with over a quarter of a century of experience within the Immigration Branch of Home Affairs that Richard has decided to embark on the new challenge of providing assistance to clients in the private sector.

The unique blend of having had this internal experience within the Department of Home Affairs, his Legal qualification as well as current experience in assisting clients in the private sector, has given him the ability to offer a service to clients that very few, if any, other professionals can offer.
